Las Animas County

09/18/14: The 3rd Annual TrindieFest Film Festival is a 4-day event which runs September 18th through 21st. Purchase tickets for a single event, or in 1-day to 4-day packages at www.trindiefest.org.
09/24/14: Southeast Rural Philanthropy Days will come to Trinidad September 24th through 26th. This three-day conference is for non-profit professionals, public agencies, elected officials, business leaders and funders to learn from one another and collaborate on projects and funding opportunities. Residents from Baca, Bent, Crowley, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero and Prowers counties are invited to participate. Mark your calendar, and get ready for the non-profit event of the year! 09/26/14: Be sure to check out ARTrek in downtown Trinidad on Friday, September 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stroll through galleries, shops and boutiques and enjoy street music and refreshments.
09/27/14: The annual Fall Classic Golf Tournament will be held at the Trinidad Municipal Golf Course on September 27 & 28. For more information, call (719) 846-4015.
10/07/14: The 3rd annual Scarecrow Contest takes place at the Trinidad History Museum. Get entry forms and guidelines starting October 7 at the Museum Gift Shop, 312 E. Main Street, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry deadline is October 28 - free to enter. Scarecrows, pumpkins and cornstalks will line the "Hysterical Historical Harvest Trail" in the Baca-Bloom Heritage Gardens from October 29 through November 7, Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The trail will also feature fun facts about Hispanic and Victorian harvest traditions. Huerfano County

09/25/14: The Spanish Peaks Celtic Festival will be held September 25 through 28 in Huerfano County. This three-day event features concerts, workshops, classes, sessions, music, song, dance and plenty of Scottish and Irish tales. Fun lovers of all ages and levels of curiosity welcome! 09/21/14: Eagle Nest Fish Fest at Eagle Nest Lake is sponsored and hosted by the Eagle Nest Marina on September 21st through 29th. Loads of prizes!
