| In the fall of 2000, Ingrid and Leland Bourne opened My Office, originally conceived as an office away from your home office or business where customers could make copies, fax, use a computer, create graphics, enlarge or reduce photographs, or do packing and shipping chores, while having a cup of coffee or tea with friendly conversation and fun.

But the Bournes re-evaluated their business strategy and decided to enhance their operation. The new name, “MY OFFICE AND GALLERY”, is located at 605 Main Street in Walsenburg, previously the site of the Variety Store. Besides keeping the original store theme, they incorporated cowboy and western items, as well as offering an outlet for local talent. Now the office displays paintings, photography, pottery, wood and metal sculptures, quilters, jewelers, stained glass, and the works of local musicians, poets, and authors. Ingrid explains, “We just thought that the talent in this area is overwhelming and these folks need some exposure. We're pleased to be able to provide them with some recognition.”
“While moving into the new space we decided to utilize the beautiful old soda fountain area for complimentary coffees and teas, then decided to create a comfortable relaxing area for customers to browse or read about the area from the books and brochures on hand." With Leland, Ricky Vierra, Tumbleweed (Rick's Kelpie pup), and Ingrid to assist customers, there is always a light spirit and fun happening there. They had fun getting started and have met many wonderful people along the way. It's been very nice to hear all the positive comments and words of encouragement from folks who stop by. We are so proud to be part of this fine community,” says Ingrid.
Do your business between Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4pm.
