Walsenburg is GROWING

Seven years ago when the Huerfano County Branch Bank in Walsenburg opened with a staff of seven employees, our purpose was to serve the community with friendly people and first rate financial services. We've done just that and over the years, grown far beyond our expectations. With increasing customer demands, and a growing staff, we have completely outgrown our existing facility. So, recently we dug out our hard hats and have begun an expansion process. The project began in early September with plans to include an additional 1,800 sq.ft. of building space by extending the existing south wall out 24 feet in the back of the building, and the north wall 8 feet out. This will create additional space to include a new teller station, two offices, a larger conference room, a larger manager's office, more storage / equipment area, and an ATM in the foyer. Meanwhile, the main lobby and motor bank will remain open during normal business hours throughout the entire construction phase. We're excited about growing to meet the current needs of the community and if all goes according to plan, construction should be completed by April 2001. Watch for our grand re-opening this spring!
