Due to the success of last year’s Bluegrass Festival in Walsenburg, promoter Dennis Rains has decided to
expand the festival into a two-day event. The 2008 Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Fox Theater in Walsenburg on May
9th and 10th with the doors opening on Friday at 1:00 p.m., allowing for get-acquainted and jamming time before the pot luck
dinner at 4:00 p.m.

The show begins at 7:00 p.m. Performing bands include: Jim Orchard and the Ozark Bluegrass Boys from Birch
Tree, Missouri; Lonesome Traveler Bluegrass Band from Loveland, Colorado; South Wind, featuring Suzie and Gary Solomon based
in both Colorado and Missouri; and The Ackermans from Pueblo West. The program will be approximately one hour per band per
set. On Saturday, May 10th, the doors will open at 9:00 a.m., with food and craft vendors opening up, and jam sessions going
on until the program begins at 1:00 p.m., lasting until 5:00 p.m., with a supper break until show time at 7:00 p.m. However,
guest band, Steel Pennies, will take the stage at 6:00 p.m., so don’t miss them.
