Leroy, Sandy, Jerry, Nathaniel Sandoval

     Leroy Sandoval, owner of Sandoval Construction, has been in business for ten years as a licensed and bonded general contractor in New Mexico and Colorado, working both residential and commercial jobs. Sandoval Construction takes pride in being a family-operated business. Leroy works alongside his two sons, Nathaniel and Sandy Sandoval, and first cousin Jerry Sandoval. They have completed numerous jobs in and around the surrounding communities of Raton and Trinidad.

     For the past five years, Sandoval Construction has been contracted by Vermejo Park where they completed the construction of new duplexes, remodeled the guesthouses, and constructed a kitchen addition to the main lodge. The Sandovals are a hard-working group that always found a way to complete tasks at Vermejo Park, regardless of weather and wildlife situations.

     In Raton, the Sandovals are most proud of their interior and exterior remodeling of St. Patrick's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church for its 50th anniversary in August 2008.  The outside of the church was stuccoed and the inside was completely remodeled: plastering all of the walls, installing laminate flooring in the Sanctuary and Sacristy, installing cabinets in the Sacristy, and installing new doors throughout the church. The crew met a strict deadline to complete all the work by the church's 50th anniversary celebration. Parish Priest, Fr. Daniel Balizan, along with the congregation, were very pleased and extremely happy with the finished product. Another project involved enclosing a swimming pool at Santa Fe Trail Ranches subdivision in Trinidad utilizing native rock, carefully chosen from the property, which was also used for the flooring surrounding the pool.

     Sandoval Construction is capable of a variety of jobs, large or small, from tile work, cement work, new construction, remodels, roofing, and stucco. They also make custom cabinets. As Leroy likes to say, "We do work from the ground up and the roof down."
