Keeping it Clean

Steve and Sandra Pesikan were repeatedly asked a familiar question, "When are you going to build an automatic car wash in Trinidad?" After all, many Trinidad residents were traveling the short 17-mile journey over Raton Pass to get fuel and better yet to get a high quality car wash without getting dirty, falling, or sacrificing customer service at their state-of-the-art car wash. So what did they do? They teamed up with their daughter and son-in-law to do just that. With the City of Trinidad on board, the team purchased 500 E. Main, home of the old White Spot, and converted the property into not only a double bay automatic car wash but a laundromat as well. "We wanted to maximize this ideal location by servicing the needs of Trinidad," says owner, Steve Pesikan, of Peak Rapid Car Wash and Laundry. "Trinidad is deserving of nice amenities because it has nice vehicles and needs first class services just as any other larger cities north of Trinidad," adds daughter and co-owner Stacy Kilgroe.

The project began in March of 2006 and the car wash opened in December of 2006 with the laundry following behind in April of 2007. Each business has the highest quality equipment and customer service. "We cut no corners in construction or equipment purchases and we got the best equipment which gives our valued customers the best selection and results," says Stacy. Customers are valued at Peak Rapid Wash and Laundry as the facility is fully attended every day of the week to provide customer service. But don't get them wrong, customers don't pay extra for these services. "It's all part of the price," adds Steve. "Our customers get the most reasonable prices, a wide selection of equipment, and the best, whether using the laundromat or the car wash." Peak Rapid would like to especially thank all of their customers for a successful first year and encourage others to stop by and see how it can make their lives a little easier.
