   Last year, Jess Giordano, a former Marine and eleven-year Raton resident, bought a motor scooter, but that was only the beginning. "I purchased a scooter for economical transportation. As a quality assurance engineer, I was impressed with the machine, its advertised 100 miles per gallon, and the discounted price. In fact, I was so impressed with the product, I decided to sell them, and opened a showroom on the United Toyota property with assistance from owner, Howard Lackey," says Giordano.

After going through the permit process with the motor vehicle department, the fire marshall, city inspectors and licensing, Jess opened for business July 25, 2008. "The product line we carry includes scooters, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and motorcycles. The scooters and motorcycles are Department of Transportation approved, and street legal. Prices range from $400 to $4,500, and are available from an up-and-coming company called Wildfire Motors of Stevensville, Ohio. Currently, there are fifteen models on the showroom floor with some for children eight years and older with built-in governors. The entire product line consists of 38 different models and all are available for quick delivery with local financing. Come see the latest vehicles in transportation."
