Privacy: Our Policy AND Practices

Unlike the "Big Banks" who literally have millions of customers, we have only the good people of our community as customers and we care about keeping every single one of them as a customer - that means never breaking your trust in us.  When you supply us with your personal or business information, we understand your sensitivity to it being given out.  While marketers are beating down the doors of "Big Banks" to buy the personal and business information collected about their customers, we refuse to use your sensitive, private information in such a way.  Please take a moment to read through our Privacy Policy; a privacy policy we are very proud of.

Consumer Data Protection PRIVACY POLICY

It is the policy of First National Bank in Trinidad, to protect consumer
data privacy by choosing to not share non-public personal information with non-affiliated third parties except those who perform services for the bank or functions on our behalf and who are excepted by law, such as processing or servicing providers, credit reporting agencies and the like, or as may be required by law.

We will maintain all non-public personal customer and former customer information according to strict security and confidentiality standards.  We will limit the use and collection of information about our customers to what is necessary to administer our business and provide superior service. Nor will we reveal non-public personal information to non-affiliated third parties about a customer transaction except as stated heretofore. Should we do joint marketing with non-affiliated parties, such business (es) would be required to agree in writing that they will not disclose or use the information other than to carry out the purposes for which it was disclosed.

We will restrict access to non-public personal information about a customer, to those employees with a business need to see it. We will educate employees about their responsibilities when handling confidential customer information, and we will discipline those employees who violate or fail to report a violation of our Privacy Policy. We will exchange non-public personal information about our customers only with those who perform services for the bank or functions on our behalf and who are excepted by law, such as processing or servicing providers, credit reporting agencies and the like.

In addition. We will make great effort to ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer information and will provide procedures for reporting inaccurate information to us so we can quickly remedy the error, and correct any mistakes before a customer is adversely affected.

Initial privacy notices will be given at the time a customer relationship is established, and annual notices mailed to all current customers before July 01, 2001 and annually thereafter.

We may from time to time obtain information about non-customers to
offer them First National Bank products and services. We will safeguard that information just as we do information about our existing customers and former customers.

As we continue to develop new products and services in an era of vast technological change, we will continue to maintain diligent efforts to assuring that customer information is properly used and appropriately safeguarded. Procedures to assure the privacy of consumer non-public information are a part of our employee manual, and included in employee training programs as needed.
