07/02/15: The Santa Fe Trail International Balloon Rally takes place July 2nd through 5th at La Mesa Airfield in Raton. Thursday, July 2 is the pilot reception and media day. 07/04/15: The 4th of July Parade and Maverick Rodeo, the longest running open rodeo in the West, will take place in Cimarron on July 4th, featuring roping, barrel racing, bull riding, wild cow milking, wild horse racing and more! The Maverick Club Rodeo is a great time for young and old, experienced cowboys, and those who have never attended a rodeo event before. 07/09/15: "William Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream," presented by the Santa Fe Trail School for the Performing Arts' Two Pigs Productions, will be performed at the Shuler Theater. Shakespeare’s classic comedy about young lovers, quarreling fairies, and mistaken identities will come to the Shuler stage with a small cast of actors playing multiple roles in a clever reimagining of the Bard’s classic. This whimsical production will be directed by Two Pigs ensemble member Dan Lendzian. July 9th through 19th, Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances beginning at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays beginning at 2:30 p.m. Adults $15, seniors $12 and children $10. 07/23/15: "Boeing Boeing!," presented by the Santa Fe Trail School for the Performing Arts' Two Pigs Productions, will be performed at the Shuler Theater. A rollicking French farce set in the swinging sixties, will close the 2015 summer theatre season at the Shuler. Bernard has three fiancées, stewardesses from Italy, Germany, and the U.S.A. He keeps up with their schedules and makes sure they never meet. But with the introduction of the new Boeing jet, their schedules start to collide! Don’t forget Bernard’s nosey maid and milquetoast friend from Wisconsin are also in town! Everything comes crashing together at a breakneck pace, and the audience is sure to roll in the aisles with riotous laughter. Directed by Two Pigs ensemble member Blake White. July 23rd through August 2nd, Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances beginning at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays beginning at 2:30 p.m. Adults $15, seniors $12 and children $10.
